Hey! My name is Emily and I live in a small Southern town where life is anything but boring!! I’m married to a wonderful man and together we have 2 little girls: Maggie and Linnie. Together, Greg and I own a small Hardware/Antique Store. I also teach Special Education at a local Elementary School and he is a full-time Fireman at our local FD.

Recently, I began a journey to depend on God for the small things in my life. I became a Christian when I was 11 years old at a Youth Camp in Tupelo, MS (Elvis Presely’s birth place!) and have followed Him since that time. I know my faith is stronger today than yesterday, but I still find myself struggling with the little things in life. It’s easy really, I LIKE TO BE IN CONTROL! Ha, so naturally it’s hard to let go of EVERYTHING! However, that is exactly what God wants us to do…just give it all to Him and LET GO. For a control freak like me, that little step is NOT easy. The BIG things are easy (don’t ask me why) but the little things like “should I eat this chocolate or walk away?” are not so easy. I am excited to see how God uses this Blog to strengthen my relationship with Him. Also, I want to hear from YOU. I am always surprised by what other people are able to do through God’s grace so please share your stories with me!!

A few other things that I love are: Traveling (Mountains are my fav!), Reading (Christian Historical Fiction, anything by Andy Andrews, and Self-Help books by the stack), Chocolate (in massive doses), Family Adventures (which include Travel), Laughing (til my face hurts), and Saving/Making Money (Yard Sales, Coupons, and Advocare). These are just a few of my favorite things, I can’t wait to find more!
